Operations Support Officer, Research & Monitoring Unit (ref: SUS2636)

£21,947 pro rata per annum

22.5 hours per week – based in Newcastle

Sustrans Research & Monitoring Unit provides evidence on walking and cycling that is transparent and authoritative and which influences and shapes policy, practice and behaviour across the UK. We are seeking a passionate and experienced candidate to support colleagues in the Research & Monitoring Unit with planning, administration and project delivery and to act as the office co-ordinator for the Sustrans office in Newcastle.

You will support others in the team across a wide range of activities such as arranging meetings, managing our reports library, booking travel and accommodation and working closely with the Senior Operations Co-ordinator to ensure key systems are kept up to date. You will act as the office co-ordinator leading on local liaison with building management and ensuring the office is a safe and positive environment to work for all staff. You will have relevant experience of office management, administration and handling financial information as well as excellent written and verbal communications skills, the ability to plan and prioritise your own workload and to work flexibly as part of a team. You will also be committed the promotion of sustainable transport and Sustrans vision and values.
