Joju Solar has secured positions on major government frameworks to be the supplier of electric vehicle (EV) charge points (CPs) to councils and local authorities. Due to demand from the market we are expanding our EVCI Team.

Role summary/purpose

The Administration, Research and Marketing Assistant will provide support to the Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Infrastructure (CI) team. Reporting to the Head of EVCI, and working closely with EVCI Advisor and Account Managers, the Assistant will gather intelligence, support marketing activity and perform administrative tasks to help Joju achieve its EVCI ambitions.

About you

You will be an enthusiastic, conscientious and organised individual with excellent (verbal and written) communication and numeracy skills.

In addition to having experience of implementing and maintaining administrative systems, you will be highly competent regarding the use of Microsoft Office programmes. Effective time management is essential as is the ability of taking clear and succinct minutes for internal and external meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the EVCI team to assist the sale, implementation and monitoring of EVCI projects. This includes:
    • The collation of information and consents from customers (e.g. existing EVCP usage data, car park information, authorisation to approach Distribution Network Operators on the Customer’s behalf).
    • Acquiring and analysing EVCP management information (EVCP usage, fault and customer issue information).
    • Preparing site and location maps for new electrical supply applications to Distribution Network Operators.
    • Assisting with the production of EVCI feasibility study reports and proposals.
  • Developing and maintaining robust administration systems [e.g. customer relationship management (CRM) and task management systems] and records for projects/contracts.
  • Liaising with potential and existing customers as and when required by the EVCI team.
  • Reviewing records to ensure accuracy is maintained. Following up with members of the team where records are incomplete.
  • Taking and circulating minutes of meetings as required.
  • Supporting the EVCI team with arrangement of external and internal meetings, diary management and meeting room bookings as appropriate.
  • Representing the organisation at external meetings and events if required.
  • Organising events.
  • Supporting and coordinating Joju’s EVCI marketing activity.
  • Conducting research regarding EVCI market developments (including drivers, barriers, competition, hardware etc).
  • Other duties relevant to the role as requested by the Head of EVCI.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Excellent and demonstrable communication skills.
  • Educated to ‘A’ Level or above with suitable relevant experience
  • Committed to the principles of sustainable development
  • Proven numeracy and data analysis skills.
  • Sound administrative skills, with experience of implementing and maintaining administrative systems.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of competence regarding the use of Microsoft Office programmes (including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint).
  • Effective time and task management skills with the ability to work without supervision.
  • Capable of taking clear and succinct minutes for internal and external meetings.

Desirable

  • Experience of providing administrative support for sales teams.
  • CRM system / database management experience.
  • Experience of working in a small dynamic team.
  • Marketing experience.
  • Experience of conducting research.
  • Attainment of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • A full driving licence and access to a car insured for business use
