Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of Yorkshire’s largest and oldest conservation charities, and one of 46 trusts that collectively form The Wildlife Trusts. Together they are the UK’s leading organisation working solely for nature.

Conceived through the purchase of internationally-important Askham Bog in York in 1946, today Yorkshire Wildlife Trust manages more than 100 nature reserves and works with many land managers throughout Yorkshire to improve spaces for wildlife. They employ more than 140 dedicated staff, engage over 600 passionate volunteers and trainees, and are supported by nearly 44,000 valued members. Their aim is for a Yorkshire rich in wildlife for the benefit of everyone - with more wildlife, more wild places and more people having a strong connection with nature.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a natural and inspirational leader to join them as Chief Executive. You’ll develop, deliver and report on their vision and strategic goals, championing and curating a culture that values and enhances their model as a membership-based organisation.

Knowledge of the environmental policy landscape, as well as an understanding of practical land and marine management in Yorkshire is paramount - as is the ability to make things happen.

If you are passionate about nature and are inspired to create a wilder future for Yorkshire’s wildlife and people, they’d love to hear from you.

This role will close at 9am on Tuesday 30th April.

Interviews will be held on Friday 17th May with shortlisted candidates invited and encouraged to attend a networking buffet on the evening of Thursday 16th May.
