Land Management Projects Officer
Countywide
37 hours per week
Fixed until 31.03.2021 (with likelihood of extension subject to funding)

Due to an internal appointment, an opportunity has become available to join our successful Countryside Management team.

 About you:

  • A full current driving licence is essential
  • For Projects Officer, demonstrable track record in the areas of countryside management, greenspace development or delivery of green infrastructure
  • Ability to secure funds, manage contractors and sell ideas
  • For Trainee Projects Officer, graduate calibre candidate looking to develop expertise and competence in land management.
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to a career in countryside management, greenspace development or delivery of green infrastructure.

About us:

We work in partnership with landowners and communities to manage our access network and develop projects that enhance the environment for people and wildlife. We also provide opportunities for informal recreation through leading events and guided walks, promoting cycle routes linking towns and the countryside and devising site based leaflets and interpretation. Our current project portfolio includes a considerable range of work across a number of key sites and habitats including: woodland management at a range of scales, heathland restoration in Hertfordshire’s only NNR, chalk river restoration and developing old railway lines as non-motorised transport routes.
