Enzygo is a fast-growing multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy with offices located in Bristol, Sheffield and Manchester. We have opportunities for seasonal field surveyors to assist our ecology team during the busy spring/summer period.

This role is not office based and applicants would be self-employed working at locations throughout the UK. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

The role would include, assisting our staff in a range of ecological projects and likely involve (but is not limited to) field surveys and translocation of a range of protected species. Candidates should expect to work unsociable hours or weekends and at short notice, on their own or within a team.

All levels of experience would be considered, but at least 1 year’s survey experience is desired. Full training will be provided. Applicants should be reliable, enthusiastic and hard-working with a minimum of a BSc in ecology, biology or related subject. We are also keen to make contact with from self-employed individuals and small companies.

Suitable applicants will be added to our register and offered work on a casual or project by project basis. Projects vary from a single day or evenings work, up to 2-3 months on site. Candidates may refuse projects offered, but once a project is accepted candidates will be expected to commit for the duration.

Rates of pay TBC but is dependent on experience level and will include any reasonable travel expenses incurred. All necessary kit/PPE can be provided.

The projects offered are dependent on work won by the company, therefore there can be no guarantee on the amount of work, project type or location offered.
