The Energy Projects Officer role presents an exciting opportunity to join our award winning Energy Projects team and deliver a range of energy efficiency and renewable energy generation projects across our estate, supporting our ambition to become a carbon neutral city by 2028. Leading on the management of our Salix energy efficiency fund, the successful candidate will identify and deliver a range of energy efficiency and innovation projects across our diverse estate, securing financial and carbon savings for the council.

The starting salary is £24,657 (Level One) rising to £26,470 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers).


  • Experience of energy auditing/surveying
  • Experience of delivering projects, ensuring deadlines, costs and outcomes are realised
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to write compelling business cases
