The Future Foresters programme was set up three years ago to inspire young people to take up careers in forestry, and support them to gain skills, qualifications and experience. The programme has connected with over 20,000 people and helped many to take their first steps towards a career in forestry, countryside management and arboriculture. The RFS sits at the heart of UK forestry and this role offers an unrivalled opportunity to influence the sector’s skills agenda and an outstanding personal development opportunity.

The RFS is inviting applications for the post of Future Foresters Officer to join a small and friendly team at the RFS office near Banbury and run the Future Foresters programme. He/she will need to be enthusiastic, resourceful, organised and demonstrate the ability to connect with a young audience. This is a challenging and rewarding graduate entry level role which will give the successful applicant wide exposure to all aspects of the forestry sector in the UK.

For full details of the job and how to apply, see the information pack on the RFS web site.

Applications close 21 March.
