Trees for Cities is an independent charity that works with local people to transform urban spaces in cities across the UK and overseas. We work with local communities and partners to plant trees and green cities through urban woodland and neighbourhood tree projects, and to green schools through tree planting and Edible Playgrounds projects.

The successful candidate shall be responsible for carrying out watering and other maintenance as part of the establishment of newly planted standard trees across London within our Urban Forest Programme. A large proportion of the workload will involve driving throughout London watering trees. 
 
This is a 7 month fixed term, 5 days per week position, based at our London site in Ruskin Park. This role will require an enhanced disclosure check.

THE SORT OF PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Excellent team player with a flexible approach and a willingness to get stuck in to complete the task in hand 
  • Able to work unsupervised managing time effectively to meet watering targets 
  • Experience of driving throughout London, ideally with large vehicles
  • An understanding of the basic principles of health and safety and how to work safely 
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds 
  • Full driving license and experience driving in London
