The Dee District Salmon Fishery Board is currently seeking to recruit an Assistant Fishery Officer for a period of six months, commencing March/April 2019. This post would be ideal for someone wanting to take their first steps in a fishery management career.

The successful candidate will be required to assist with wide ranging fishery management and protection duties across the Dee District. Formal qualifications are not required as enthusiasm and a responsible approach to work is key to assisting in the successful delivery of fisheries protection duties. The post holder must demonstrate experience of working outdoors, working in a teams and have good communication skills.

The position is for a six month fixed term contract, starting Mar/April 2019, with an annual salary equivalent of £18,500 per annum. You will be auto-enrolled into the Government pension scheme from your start date, but you may choose to opt out. Employee contributions for this scheme will be 5% from 6th April 2019.
