Positions available

We’re looking for Auditors to join the Soil Association Certification’s inspector team, undertaking inspections of organic food and drink manufacturers and/or farmers and growers in these areas:
- South East /East England
- Northern England

About you & the role

To be a Food and Drink processor Auditor you need to have industry experience of food processing. Ideally with an academic qualification in food processing and a background in Quality Assurance and/or auditing. Experience in complimentary schemes such as BRC or the SALSA scheme is desirable.

To be Farming and growing Auditor you need a strong background in farming and/or growing, ideally with an academic qualification in agriculture. Additionally, a background in Quality Assurance and/or auditing experience in complimentary schemes such as those relating to animal welfare or other quality assurance systems is highly desirable. Successful candidates should, preferably, have some experience/qualification in food processing, as farm inspections often require their linked processing unit/operation to be audited at the same visit.

As these roles are customer facing, you’ll be responsible for delivering an excellent level of customer service to our licensees. You should have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills and be able to build and develop relationships.

IT competency is required.

You must enjoy working independently be willing and able to travel on a daily/regular basis.

Knowledge of the principles and philosophy of organic food production are advantageous for these auditor positions, as is knowledge of the Soil Association organic standards, which can be found on our website.
