Help us make the voice of the cyclist heard

Digital and Social Media Officer – based Guildford – Salary £26,000pa fixed term contract for 12 months maternity cover

As the world’s oldest transport organisation, we need you to cut through the noise in a modern digital age to engage with cyclists across the UK.

We’re already helping millions of people realise the social, health and economic benefits of cycling. Hundreds and thousands of people visit our website monthly, we’re inspiring and engaging across our social media and we have the UK’s largest circulation cycling magazine. But we need YOU to help us reach out to even more.

As Cycling UK’s Digital and Social Media Officer, you’ll be instrumental in helping to communicate our work as the national cycling charity through the creation of compelling content across our digital and print channels.

You’ll be inspiring more people to take up cycling; offering support and opportunities for the public to get involved; and empowering our staff, volunteers and members through your communications skills so we can increase our impact as a charity, to more effectively recruit and retain members, donors and supporters.

You’ll be a key contact for stakeholders including staff, trustees, volunteers, partners and external agencies and suppliers. You’ll work closely with the Communications team on the commissioning and presentation of our communications online, on our social media planning and to inform our ongoing work as we learn more from the data we gather through Google, media monitoring, email broadcast and social media insight.

To apply for this full time fixed term contract for 12 months covering maternity leave, please email your current CV along with a covering letter directly addressing the job description and person specification out lining why your skill set would suit this role, to sue.cherry@cyclinguk.org. Please note the closing date for applications is 12.00 noon on Friday 22 February 2019. Interviews will take place at our offices in Guildford on the 7 or 8 March 2019.
