The Ecology Partnership are currently looking for ecologists to join the team on a permanent basis at our head office in Leatherhead, Surrey.

We are ideally looking for candidates who have 2 years’ experience at an assistant ecologist level, who are looking to make the next step in their career. The role would involve undertaking preliminary ecological appraisals and a wide range of protected species survey work, including bats, great crested newts, reptiles, dormice, water voles and barn owls. The role will involve starting projects from initial assessment through to the design of mitigation and involvement with licensing. We aim for our employees to continue personal development and there will be opportunities for project management within the advertised role.

The post will have a balance of field work and office work, with the role covering mainly the south east of England, although we do occasionally take on project work further afield and assist our Bristol office with projects.

We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and positive individuals to join a tight knit and hardworking team. The candidates will be expected to undertake night work throughout the survey season, this can often involve 3 evenings a week during peak survey season, largely for bat and great crested newt surveys. The candidate must be a team player, with good organisational and communication skills, both verbal and written and must also have their own car and a full clean UK driving licence. Existing experience in bird survey work, analysis of large data sets of bat data using Analook software as well as CIEEM membership would be an advantage.

The Ecology Partnership will offer a competitive package to the successful candidates. The Leatherhead office is situated close to junction 9 of the M25.
