This is a 30 hour a week post. Requests for flexible working and/ or an element of home working considered.

Are you passionate and knowledgeable about land management and the natural world? Are you experienced in working with farmers and other landowners/ land managers, as well as with wildlife conservation groups and NGOs? Could you lead and co-ordinate the delivery a landscape scale conservation scheme at the heart of one of the UK’s finest and most distinctive landscapes?

The Scheme has been designed to conserve and enhance the wildlife habitats and landscape features of the Central Chilterns and to inspire communities to learn, create and act to care for their local heritage.

As the Landowner Engagement Officer, you will play a key role delivering the Scheme’s ambitions to create better, more, bigger and better-connected habitat across the Chilterns. One of your key areas of responsibility will be to engage more people in both practical habitat management and monitoring species trends.

You will bring a proven record of working collaboratively and developing robust partnerships, as well as experience of wildlife surveying and the recruitment and management of volunteers.

This post is offered as a 0.8 FTE (30 hours per week), fixed-term contract (4 years and 10 months contract). You will be part of a small project team based in Chinnor and will work across a wide range of sites and with multiple partners across the scheme area.
