We are looking for a passionate individual to lead the delivery of an ambitious project to re-introduce pine marten in the Forest of Dean. This project will be delivered in partnership between Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and the Forestry Commission with support from the Vincent Wildlife Trust and the Woodland Trust. A two-year feasibility study has been successfully completed and the reintroduction will proceed in 2019.

The Conservation Projects Manager will also help to develop other local reintroduction and re-wilding projects for Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust and the Forestry Commission.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of working on species reintroduction programmes
  • Extensive survey, monitoring and species identification skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent communication and networking skills, capable of engaging and enthusing everybody about the project
  • The ability to manage a busy and diverse workload
