We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills to lead our waste team in delivering the Borough’s new 5 year Waste and Recycling Strategy. You will need exceptional organisational skills and have the ability to engage with a wide range of partners.

As part of the Mid Kent Waste Partnership, you will need experience of managing a large contract to ensure services are delivered effectively and consistently across the partner authorities. You will also need to be able to find innovative solutions and have a practical approach to develop waste reduction, re-use and recycling initiatives.

You should have experience of managing a frontline service as well as managing budgets.

Responsible for a small team, you will need to be assertive and confident with an ability to work under pressure. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of Maidstone’s waste and recycling service.
