Location: Wokingham, covering the Southern Region

Salary: Competitive

Hours of Work: Mon – Fri, 9am – 5pm

OHES Environmental Ltd, part of the Adler and Allan Group, is a multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy operating across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. OHES has grown and diversified over the last 16 years to a point where our business is led and staffed by some of the brightest and most experienced consultants in the UK market place. More recently, in response to client demands, the Company have constructed a number of product bundles from their full range of services, which are designed to overcome environmental challenges in specific markets and sectors.

The Company are seeking to appoint four experienced and qualified Environmental Technicians to join their team servicing clients in the Southern region.

Reporting to the Southern Regional Manager and employed on a full time basis with the need to satisfy overtime requirements, the primary purpose of the role of Environmental Technician will be to undertake any or all required tasks to facilitate planning, procurement, supervision and data collection in relation to Environmental Claims Management.

Environmental Technician Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking field monitoring works including measurement and sampling.
  • Supporting senior colleagues in all aspects of Environmental Claims Management.
  • Provision of accurate and timely information to line management.
  • Supporting team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices at all levels.
  • Any other task assigned by supervision for which the postholder is qualified and experienced to undertake.

Environmental Technician Requirements:

  • Travel to any location within the Company’s operational footprint; therefore possession of a full, clean UK driving licence is essential for this role.
  • Possess a degree in a geo-environmental related discipline or similar along with experience of environmental assessment or monitoring; experience of collecting field data would be an advantage.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of all Microsoft applications and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Must provide a professional service and image of the Company at all times.
  • Applicants should be self-motivated and demonstrate a team ethic, supporting other team members on an ongoing basis.
  • Proof of the right to work in the UK will be required, and the postholder will be required to undertake a DBS check to satisfy client requirements.
