PWRPAS Y SWYDD:    

Monitro a gwerthuso safleoedd yn effeithiol e.e. dyfnder mawn, cyflwr llystyfiant a draeniad er mwyn cael data cywir a dibynadwy am safleoedd mawndiroedd Cymru.

Datblygu rhaglenni gwaith wedi'u costio ar gyfer gwarchod ac adfer priddoedd mawn diraddiedig yng Nghymru.

Hwyluso ac ymgysylltu â thirfeddianwyr a rheolwyr wrth ddatblygu prosiectau Cod Mawndiroedd a / neu Dalu am Wasanaethau Ecosystemau (PES) y gellir eu marchnata.

Ymgymryd â gweithgareddau ymgysylltu â grwpiau cymunedol ac arbenigol i wireddu gwerthoedd cymdeithasol, diwylliannol a threftadaeth mawndiroedd yn lleol mewn partneriaeth â sefydliadau lleol a chenedlaethol.

Ymgysylltu'n weithredol ag elfen academaidd ac ymchwil prosiect WPSMS yng nghyd-destun deilliannau'r prosiect.

Mae'r gallu i gyfathrebu yn Gymraeg a Saesneg yn hanfodol

PURPOSE OF THE POST:

To carry out effective monitoring and site evaluation e.g. of peat depths, vegetation condition and drainage in order to attain accurate and reliable data on Welsh peatland sites.

Develop costed work programmes for the conservation and restoration of degraded peat soils in Wales.

Facilitate and engage with landowners and managers in the development of Peatland Code and/or Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) projects that can be marketed.

Undertake community and specialist groups engagement activities to realise the social, cultural and heritage values of peatlands locally in partnership with local and national organisations.

To actively engage with the academic and research element of the WPSMS project within the context of the project’s outcomes.

The ability to communicate in Welsh and English is essential
