Communications & Campaigns Officer

£24,204 per annum

37.5 hours per week – contract to 31 August 2019 - based in Belfast

In this exciting role you will be responsible for developing and delivering communication and campaign plans that promote commuting by bike in east Belfast as part of the CHIPS project. You will provide communications support to Sustrans active travel team by creating engaging, relevant and timely content for Sustrans website and social media and develop local promotional materials, press releases, raising awareness of active travel options to stakeholders and the general public in east Belfast.

With a good standard of education, you will have demonstrable experience of working in a communications environment, of planning communications campaigns and of producing engaging content for a range of audiences. A self-starter, you will have a proven ability to write relevant, engaging content for print and digital channels, excellent communications and interpersonal skills, the ability to establish good working relationships and excellent presentation skills. You will have excellent IT literacy, the ability to prioritise and plan a busy workload and have a good understanding of the media and digital platforms. You will also be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
