ORCA are looking for 6 enthusiastic, customer-service driven, energetic and wildlife-minded Wildlife Officers to join our at-sea team for the summer season in 2019, working and living on board Brittany Ferries vessels, sailing across the wildlife-rich Bay of Biscay and delivering the ORCA Wildlife Officer programme.

The ORCA Wildlife Officer programme inspires all Brittany Ferries passengers about the incredible wildlife (primarily whales and dolphins) around them on their voyage across the English Channel and Bay of Biscay.  The Wildlife Officer programme consists of daily interactive presentations, children's activities, deck watches (whilst collecting vital scientific data on any wildlife encountered) and primarily delivering a fantastic passenger experience, as well as recruiting members and encouraging donations.

We are recruiting for 3-month and 6-month positions.  The successful applicant must have experience delivering presentations, delivering excellent customer service, experience working in a small team or lone working in remote locations, and must be driven and enthusiastic. Wildlife Officers work and live on board Brittany Ferries passenger ferries on a two week on board and one/two week off ship rota.

Please read the job description on the ORCA website carefully before applying.

To apply, please complete the application form and send, along with your C.V. to: info@orcaweb.org.uk with the subject ‘Biscay Wildlife Officer Application’.

The deadline for applications is midnight on Sunday 6th January 2019, with interviews being held in Portsmouth on the 16th, 17th or 18th January 2019.
