Community and Hub Project Officer

£24,204 pro rata per annum

15 hours per week (worked over Wednesday to Saturday)

contract to 31 March 2020 - based in Dunstable

This exciting and challenging role will inform, inspire and encourage local communities (in Dunstable, Ampthill, Flitwick and Harlington) to choose active and sustainable travel options for commuting and everyday journeys. This will include improving access to employment and training, local services and green spaces and general health and wellbeing.

With a good standard of education, experience of behaviour change projects, organising and running events and activities and of partnership working with local authorities and community groups, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organisational skills and the ability to motivate and enthuse others. The ability to use your interpersonal skills and experience of leading group workshops is also required as is IT literacy and an understanding of health and environmental benefits of active travel You will also be committed to the promotion is sustainable transport.

Closing date for the receipt of completed applications is 9am on Monday 17 December 2018. Interviews will take place in Dunstable during week commencing Monday 7 January 2019.
