An exciting opening has arisen within the Environment & Sustainability team of Promar International, the UK’s largest Agricultural and Food Chain Consultancy Company, for an Environmental Analyst. The team work across the whole supply chain from field to fork and we need an adaptable and enthusiastic team member to meet our growth ambition.

The Environment & Sustainability team is a growing part of Promar which presents a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to join a growing business.

This role will be based in our head office in Stapeley, Nantwich with some expected travel within the UK to offsite visits and meetings.

The Role

  • Graduate level role within the Promar Environment Team contributing to the successful delivery of environmental consultancy projects.
  • Assist in the opportunities for developing projects through networks and tendering opportunities.
  • Assist and support the construction tender responses which would include building experience on devising methodologies, commercial costing, bid writing and presenting in a timely professional manner.
  • Have knowledge of the industry and activities which are relevant for the work of Promar.
  • Contribute to tender submissions and supporting the wider business development activities eg networking events.
  • Conduct detailed on-site data collection, completion of desk research and production of data analysis in an efficient manner and to a high standard.
  • Undertake interviews with relevant stakeholders and organisations in the environmental sector.
  • Be able to work well within a team and be self-motivated to work on an individual basis.
  • Be well organised, have excellent time management skills, good eye for detail, energetic and highly motivated.
  • Have the ability to evaluate and interpret data and feedback to the Environment Team.
  • Be solution-orientated with a creative approach and producing technical reports for projects which outline the approach, findings, conclusions and key recommendations.

The Candidate

  • Educated to degree level (Environmental Sciences or similar) ideally with an interest in agriculture and the food supply chain.
  • Experience of working in a consultancy environment working on projects relevant to the UK agriculture and good industry is desirable.
  • Demonstrate experience of supporting project delivery, working towards budgets, time and to a high level of quality.
  • Confidently communicate with both internal and external customers and developing excellent relationships with key stakeholders.
  • The ability to travel within the UK and internationally as/ when required is an essential requirement of the role.
  • A high level of computer literacy of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and experience of using GIS would be beneficial.
  • Experience of preparing technical reports and undertaking complex data analysis.
