About us

Global Canopy is an innovative environmental organisation that targets the market forces destroying tropical forests. Since 2001, we have been testing new approaches to tackling deforestation and guiding companies, investors and governments worldwide to think differently about our planet's forests and ‘natural capital’.

We employ 35 people mainly based in our office in central Oxford with smaller teams based around the world. As an entrepreneurial think-tank, seeking to tackle deforestation differently, our team is the key to our success.

Role profile

We now offer a unique opportunity to join our team as Executive Coordinator. Working closely with the Executive Director you will be at the heart of an organisation at the forefront of the fight against deforestation and climate change.

The Executive Coordinator closely supports our Executive Director representing him within the team and externally, coordinating relevant work for maximum effectiveness. You will also provide help to the wider management team and work across the organisation gaining invaluable professional development opportunities.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong organisation and administrative skills.

As well as those with coordinator experience, this role is particularly suitable for a recent graduate with an interest in the environmental sector.

This opportunity is available on a full time (preferable for a recent graduate) or part time basis (part time 22.5 hrs / week). It is initially a one-year contract with the potential to become permanent.
