Community Windpower is at the forefront of wind energy development in the UK with over 1.9GW built, under construction and in development. As renewable energy specialists, we are fully experienced in the identification, design, development, construction and operation of onshore wind energy projects.

We are looking to recruit an experienced corporate finance analyst who has over 2 years’ experience of working in commercial banking, investment funds or corporate finance boutiques, ideally in the infrastructure, renewable or power sector, to join our expanding Commercial Team.

You will work with our Directors and management team to assist delivery of corporate and project finance, due diligence and M&A processes in relation to our onshore wind and wider energy portfolio. This is a varied and exciting role, and will include producing financial models and valuations on M&A targets, and associated financial analysis. You will design and lead production of presentations, information memoranda and other analysis for internal and external audiences. Our projects are located in the UK, therefore a valid and clean driving licence is essential to travel to these locations to attend meetings and carry out site visits.

The position is full time and is based at our Head Office in Frodsham, Cheshire.

Key skills and requirements:

Required

  • Educated to degree level with membership of a relevant finance body
  • 2 years post-graduate experience in a Corporate Finance position
  • Strong quantitative skills, including extensive experience with financial models and valuation techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (written, verbal, aural)
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Competent user of Microsoft Word and Excel

Desirable

  • Understanding of commercial aspects of renewable energy infrastructure projects
