The Woodland Trust is the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity. We want to see a UK rich in native woods and trees, for people and for wildlife. The Trust aims to engage and inspire people about woods and trees to help us protect, restore and create native woodland.

The Woodland Trust Campaigning function unites and enables the public to make a real difference for woods and trees through getting directly involved - by helping to protect woodlands and trees which are at risk, and by helping to influence bigger public policy decisions through joining campaign actions and the growing Tree Charter movement. As one of the Trust’s senior leaders The Head of Campaigns will lead a UK team responsible for the Trust’s casework and campaigns to save woods and trees under threat, for public facing campaigns in support of the Trusts policy objectives, for the Trust’s contributions to the Tree Charter movement, and for our urban/street trees programme.

A natural leader and strategic thinker, you will have substantial experience leading high profile campaigns, ideally within the voluntary sector, and a sound understanding of campaigning processes and of the role of campaigning as part of broader influencing strategies and tactics. You’ll be expected to demonstrate clear vision and be able to manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders across the Trust, and be proactive in identifying and developing key relationships and external networks to help the Trust have impact.

There’s no other organisation like the Woodland Trust. Whatever you do here you will be supporting our work to achieve our vision and ten year strategic plan. In return, we recognise and value our people. You'll have our full support, training and opportunities for professional development, along with a contributory pension, life assurance and good holiday entitlement.
