Project Leader

SweetTree Farming For All - Mill Hill £24,500

SweetTree Farming For All is a dynamic and growing Care Farming organisation that provides meaningful experiences in a natural environment to help individuals with a range of support needs to grow to become confident, well balanced individuals who are socially included.

At our 14 acre care farm, SweetTree Fields we provide engaging activities including livestock farming, horticulture, bush crafts, conservation, eco and natural crafts, and outdoor cooking that facilitate personal development goals for individuals that attend.

Who you will be working with:

You will have the privilege to be working alongside Co-farmers who may be children or adults with learning disabilities, ADHD and Autism as well as a physical or mental health diagnosis, dementia or brain injury.

Who we are seeking:

As a Project Leader you will make a real difference to the lives of an extraordinary and diverse group of people that you will have the privilege of working alongside. Your work will be inspired by the demands of a real farm and you will experience the beauty and hardships of farming life together.

You will achieve this by leading person or group-centred activities and projects that are based on the needs of those individuals, our animals and the land. You will be designing activities for a wide range of abilities to ensure that everyone is contributing in their own way to the farm community. You may also be finding further collaborations and connections in the community; retailing our farm produce, a maintenance or gardening job, volunteering opportunities and such like so individuals can further realise how their work can positively impact their local community and society at large.

You will be a problem solver, adaptable, sensitive, robust, open minded, ambitious, committed, practical, strategic, creative and passionate about working with people with support needs in an incredible and unique environment.

We are a small and dynamic team with a variety of skills we would like to share with our new team member. Between us we have many years of experience in the care farming sector, social care, commercial farming, community projects, practical trades and teaching. There will also be many opportunities for you to develop professionally through both in house and external formal training.

We are excited to learn from you too and look forward to collaborating with a new team member who can offer additional insight and skills.

You will add further depth to our project and have a vital role to play in the continued growth and development of an outstanding and vital community service.

To apply please send your CV and covering letter to jude.allen@sweettreefarmingforall.org.uk

A DBS check and 2 references will also be required.
