We are seeking a driven, hard-working, enthusiastic, reliable and conscientious individual to take on this exciting and rewarding role within our Environmental Performance Team. This junior role will receive support and development opportunities and be encouraged to gain their Chartership with a relevant institute. The successful candidate will be assisting with the production of environmental technical deliverables on Projects working under direction of Environmental Performance Delivery Leads and the within the Environment Team.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Assessing the potential environmental risks and impacts and assisting with the development of environmental solutions for schemes
  • Assisting in the production of technical documents
  • Offering support and advice on project environmental matters to both Operational and Engineering Departments
  • Assisting the development of scheme designs and environmental mitigation plans
  • Undertake and /or coordinate site visits and environmental surveys
  • Carry out environmental site inspections to record compliance with contract and company requirements

To be successful in this role you will be required to possess the following:

  • A Degree in an Environmental / Science subject or equivalent training and experience in the relevant area
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Graduate or similar membership of relevant institute, possibly working towards becoming Chartered
  • Good people skills, team oriented with the ability to work closely with peers
  • Good organisational skills and ability to follow procedures to ensure quality deliverables
  • Excellent technical report writing and editorial skills, and good oral communication

Expected requirements for this role are as follows:

  • Experience in technical delivery on projects
  • Some industry experience with a reputation for technical excellence.
  • Ability to influence outcomes and staff who are not necessarily part of the direct function.
