greenspace scotland is looking for an experienced project manager to lead our exciting new Park Power project

Title: ParkPower Project Manager

Salary: £26,000 – 30,000 pro rata

Location: Stirling or home-based (some travel required throughout urban Scotland)

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and delivery of the ParkPower project. ParkPower has been selected as one of 5 innovative UK Rethinking Parks prototype projects.

Providing energy services, such as generating energy, from parks can provide clean, green local energy; connect consumers with their park (and energy supply); and produce an income stream which can be reinvested in our greenspaces. The ParkPower project will develop a strategic GIS based approach to identify and monetise the best energy generation and storage options for parks and greenspaces.

With a strong track record in energy (e.g. renewable energy or energy efficiency) or sustainable development, the ideal candidate will be an experienced project manager, committed to collaborative partnership working, bringing analytical skills, creativity, innovation and enthusiasm to work with our partners to turn the ParkPower concept into a reality.

This is a part-time post (21 hours per week – 0.6 FTE)

We will consider applications for secondment, job share, home-working and/or other flexible working arrangements, as well as on a self-employment/consultancy/contract basis.

Fixed term appointment to 31 December 2019 (with possibility of extension).

Closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday 30 November
Interviews will be held on Monday 17 December at our office in Stirling
