Community Windpower is at the forefront of wind energy development in the UK with over 800MW built, under construction and in development. As renewable energy specialists, we are fully experienced in the identification, design, development, construction and operation of onshore wind energy projects. We are looking to recruit a graduate searching for a career within the renewable energy industry, specifically wind power. Applicants with a Mathematics or Physics degree are preferable.

The Operations Analyst is a key member of the Operations Team whose role incorporates data management, accurate reporting and problem resolution. The successful candidate will work closely with our Operations Director and the Operations Team, to ensure integrity of the data systems and maximise the potential production generated by our wind farms. The role will also include liaison with the onsite wind turbine technicians and use of our SCADA systems to monitor and control the turbines.

The role of the Operations Analyst is critical to the successful running and development of our operational wind farms. The position is permanent, full time and based at our Head Office in Frodsham, Cheshire.

Skills and Experience required:

  • Excellent advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills;
  • A mathematics or physics degree;
  • Strong analytical skills, interest in numbers and statistics;
  • Experience of report writing and producing daily logs;
  • Knowledge/experience of programming software, preferably Python and/or SQL;
  • Knowledge of wind energy, wind turbine technology and SCADA systems is preferential;
  • High levels of energy and motivation;
  • Have a capability to communicate clearly to other specialists and professionals who are not from a technological/engineering background;
  • A clean, full driving license is essential as there will be trips to Scotland to visit the operational wind farms.
