Chalk streams are a characteristic and attractive feature of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. They support an abundance of wildlife and are much loved by the communities through which they flow. They are however, amongst the most threatened of all chalk streams in the world as a result of factors such as physical modification, pollution, climate change and an ever-increasing demand for water. The Chilterns Chalk Streams Project (CCSP) was set up in 1997 to help address these issues.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a great team and make a real difference to the Chilterns chalk stream environment. Working with a range of stakeholders and communities you will be responsible for the development and delivery of the CCSP Education and Engagement programme, helping to increase public understanding of chalk streams, promote more sustainable water use and galvanise communities to help protect their local rivers.

Some work outside of normal office hours will be required.
