Job Purpose:

This job helps to sustain Wales’ natural heritage so that everyone can enjoy it and benefit from it. You will do this by helping to manage designated sites by working with landowners and partners and assisting with input to Planning Team and other consultations on wildlife and landscape conservation matters as part of the Taff Natural Resource Management Team.

Job Specific Criteria:

  1. Education to degree level or equivalent in a biological, environmental or rural land-use science. Essential
  2. Good knowledge of some of the following: ecology, nature conservation and legislation relevant to nature conservation, the marine and coastal environment, countryside and agricultural management issues. Essential
  3. Good interpersonal skills, team working skills and the ability to deal appropriately with people of all levels. Essential
  4. Good written and spoken communication skills. Essential
  5. The nature of the role is physically demanding. The role will require independent working, possibly in remote areas with difficult terrains e.g. farms, river environments and conservation sites. Essential
  6. The ability to currently and legally drive a car in the UK. Essential
