Are you passionate about wildlife and able to inspire others? Do you have a nose for a story and a creative approach to spreading a message? Would you enjoy the creativity and challenges that raising the profile of a wildlife conservation charity will bring?

Cheshire Wildlife Trust is the region’s leading conservation charity, protecting local wildlife and wild places. Our work depends on the continued support of more than 13,000 members and other supporters and volunteers.

We’re recruiting a Digital & Media Relations Co-ordinator to work with our Supporter Communications Manager to raise the profile of Cheshire Wildlife Trust through digital channels and building media relations. You will manage our web and social media platforms, develop our image and video library and liaise with the press, TV and radio to build the profile of our work, encourage participation and support campaigns. The post holder will deliver positive, clear communications and ensure that Cheshire Wildlife Trust is recognised and respected.

The successful candidate will need to have a good level of education and experience in a similar role. They will have experience of working with the media and disseminating messages in a planned and engaging way. You will be well organised and have the creative flair to communicate and engage with a wide range of audiences.

You will need excellent communication, interpersonal, copywriting, proof reading, photography and videography skills, whilst demonstrating a proven ability to think creatively and innovatively. You will be given the freedom to develop your own ideas and direct the Trust’s imagery, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership. Knowledge of social media platforms is required, and knowledge of content management systems is desirable.

For more information or an informal chat about the role, call Jen Shutt on 01948 820728.
