Salary £28,000 - £30,000 per annum fixed term until March 2023

Would you like to take a lead role in the ongoing development and delivery of the UK’s only national wild plant citizen science monitoring scheme? Plantlife in partnership with JNCC, CEH and BSBI are seeking a Volunteer Manager to take the National Plant Monitoring Scheme into its next phase.

Plants are the foundation of habitats and ecosystems and the aim of NPMS is to collect data to provide an annual indication of changes in plant abundance and diversity. The scheme has been running since 2015 and data being gathered by volunteers is beginning to enable us to measure changes in plant populations across the British Isles. The new Volunteer Manager will review existing provision and develop and implement strategies for increasing participation and improving provision for existing volunteers.

If working in partnership on a national citizen science project, managing volunteers and coming up with new approaches to increase participation appeal to you download an application pack here www.plantlife.org.uk/uk/jobs

For an informal conversation about the role contact Felicity Harris on 01722 342 740.

Closing date 5pm on Friday 19th October 2018

Interviews on Tuesday 6th November 2018 at Plantlife Head Office in Salisbury.
