Would you like to lead on developing a project to benefit the elusive yet wonderful corncrake in Scotland? RSPB Scotland have been awarded a Stage 1 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for SCALE – Saving Corncrakes through Advocacy, Land Management and Education. We now require a Project Manager to prepare the project and documentation for a final stage 2 submission in December 2019. The project will take place in the Outer Hebrides, Inner Hebrides, Orkney and the North West coast of mainland Scotland.

The successful candidate will coordinate planning for all elements of the project, working with stakeholders across Scotland. These elements include development of plans for public engagement activities, land management activities and funding advocacy materials. Methods of evaluation will be established for all activities. Documentation to be produced will include the final application and a range of supporting papers such as project costs and cash flow, and briefs for work to be commissioned during delivery.

Experience of project management is essential. Experience of preparing a stage 2 application for HLF would be desirable but is not essential.

This role is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. You will be asked to declare unspent convictions and cautions at offer of employment stage.

This project is funded by The Heritage Lottery Fund.
