Overview of Role

Due to expansion of our business, Aether is recruiting for Air Quality and Climate Change Consultants.

Aether undertakes projects for national and subnational governments internationally as well as with non-government organisations. Our core portfolio is concerned with emission inventories and related policy development. We focus on encouraging and tracking air quality and climate action, and achievement of other sustainable development goals through capacity building and bespoke services.

You will build on your experience of air pollution and climate change consultancy, which may have included experience in city-scale projects or analysis of emissions from industrial sources. You will work with and be supported by our highly skilled technical and data experts in delivering projects to a high degree of customer satisfaction. You will support the delivery of projects across the business as a whole, occasionally overseeing others through management of your own projects. You will be involved in the creation of proposals, delivery of reports, and presentations at meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

Technical Expertise, Skills and Experience

You must be able to take complex technical information and present it in a well-written, easily understandable format for clients or other stakeholders.

You have:

  • A degree in a scientific subject (MSc preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years’ consultancy experience in an air quality or climate change related field
  • An understanding of air pollution and/or climate change issues in general, including developing your own area(s) of expertise
  • Excellent numerical and data handling skills within MS Excel and working knowledge of other software such as GIS, Access, R, Power BI and/or Tableau
  • Excellent communication skills both for report writing and through presentations
  • Demonstration of project management skills would be advantageous
  • Business development experience including proposal preparation and customer interactions would be advantageous
