We are looking for two enthusiastic and self-motivated nature lovers, with great communication skills, to join our friendly local team. The successful candidates will work closely with colleagues, landowners and project partners to educate site users on the importance of the habitat, helping to inspire in them a love of the heathland/woodland mosaic and a desire to protect it for the future.

Working as part of a team, you will be travelling daily to sites across the Thames Basin Heaths, engaging with site users, attending public events such as open days, shows and village fetes and leading guided walks. You will also be involved with visitor monitoring work and public engagement activities such as producing resources or web based engagement ideas and promoting alternative greenspace.

Candidates must be excellent communicators and are likely to have experience in conservation and public engagement or education and a background in ecology/environmental science. They will have experience of developing and delivering outdoor engagement activities. They will need to be confident in dealing with the public and heathland managers and must have a good understanding of health and safety practices, data processing and record keeping.
