About the opportunity 
We are looking for an Evaluation Officer to support the delivery of Soil Association Scotland’s knowledge transfer and innovation support programmes. This is a brand-new role for the Farming and Land Use team, and you will be joining our friendly and professional team based at our offices in Edinburgh with frequent travel across Scotland.

Your role
As an Evaluation Officer you will play a vital role in all our programmes by monitoring what we do to provide evidence and make the case for change, both externally and internally. You will design and deliver a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to track the success of our farming and land use programmes. The evidence you gather will be used to further improve and adapt our work.

About you 
To be successful in this role, and fit in with our team in Scotland, we are looking for you to demonstrate the following experience and qualities:

  • Experience designing and delivering a robust monitoring and evaluation framework that effectively serves our programmes
  • Strong Excel and database skills
  • Experience in designing and interpreting surveys
  • Experience of undertaking data analysis
  • Good attention to detail
  • Administration experience
  • Empathy with the aims and objectives of the Soil Association
