Senior Project Officer, Transport Integration (Ref: SUS2473)

£26,985 per annum

37.5 hours per week – based in Edinburgh

The key purpose of this job is to support the Scottish Government’s stated ambition to ‘Improve integration [of cycling and walking] with public transport, through partnership working with ScotRail, bus/coach operators and Regional Transport Partnerships and provide secure cycle storage at key destinations including transport interchanges’.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of transport planning / land use planning / traffic engineering / urban design / sustainable transport or equivalent with emphasis on planning, design, urban design or cycling and walking as well as project management and of successful partnership working. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, networking and presentation skills are essential as is your IT literacy and knowledge of best practice in providing for cyclists and pedestrians in urban environments. You will also be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
