Are you an individual with experience in data management and customer support with a keen interest in environmental and/or fisheries data?

  • Location: London
  • Working hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

The role

We’re looking for a Database Support and Analysis Officer to help our Strategic Research team support the core data functions of the MSC Science and Standards department. You will support live, and pilot, digital products and databases used by Science and Standards and 3rd party certifiers. This will include, but is not limited to, helpdesk support, data analysis and maintaining accurate and high-quality records relating to MSC certificate holders. This role will work closely with members of the Strategic Research, Supply Chain, and Fisheries teams.

You will:

  • Have a degree or equivalent experience in natural sciences, computing and IT, or other discipline relevant to the role
  • Be looking for an entry level position with an interest in environmental/fisheries data and a willingness to learn on the job
  • Have well developed IT skills, including good use of MS Office products 
  • Have proficiency in database management, administration and experience in using databases
  • Relish working across teams and building and maintaining good relationships.
