The RHS is looking to recruit a soil and climate change senior scientist. This role will undertake research on soil and climate change for the benefit of horticulture and gardening in the UK. Practical applications will include supporting advisory and RHS gardens on soil management and climate change mitigation and adaptation.

Applicants should have a PhD or MSc in soil science, biological/environmental science or related subject and an understanding of soil and climate change, as well as experience in presenting and publishing scientific research. An interest in or understanding of horticulture or plant sciences will be of value, as well as evidence of communicating to audiences of varied technical ability.
