Project Officer, Groundwork Hertfordshire
Term: Full time, 37 hours per week, one year fixed term contract with potential for extension.
Salary: £22,643 
Location: based at Mill Green, Hatfield, covering the whole of Hertfordshire, with occasional travel across the East of England

Groundwork East has 30 years of experience in delivering bespoke projects that use the environment as a catalyst for building a more sustainable future. We are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable and creative people to help us continue to develop and deliver our work with local communities to improve their prospects and environment.

Our Project Officers deliver a wide range of community, employment and education focused projects that include supporting the delivery of grant schemes, providing gardening support to vulnerable and disabled residents, horticultural projects, practical green space improvements, delivering family learning / outdoor play activities and leading a range of outdoor volunteer activities. You will have proven experience of engaging communities including leading consultations, supervision of volunteers and working with vulnerable adults. The roles require a valid driving licence, access to a vehicle, excellent communication and diplomacy skills and excellent project management skills, including budget control.
