Wokingham Borough Council is an exciting and dynamic Borough with a major programme of residential development and a significant amount of green infrastructure to deliver. A major part of this infrastructure is an ambitious network of new greenways to link the Strategic Development Locations to each other and the existing population centres.

We require an experienced professional project manager to oversee the delivery of this exciting project which will include the overall responsibility for the project plan as well as the day to day supervision of detailed design work, public consultation, procurement planning applications and contractors. The Capital Project Manager (Greenways) will be expected to maintain the project plans, and produce written project progress reports, undertake presentation to stakeholders and to negotiate with landowner in order to deliver and/or deliver high quality, sustainable transport network in accordance with the Council’s vision.

About You:

Applicants should be qualified to degree level with a background in either landscape architecture or civil engineering with a good knowledge and preferably experience of the sustainable transport agenda both in terms of project management and land use planning.
