Froglife is a national wildlife conservation organisation with a specific focus on the protection of amphibians and reptiles, and their habitats.

Froglife is seeking to recruit a Conservation Education Officer with a conservation & education background to manage the Peterborough, Northamptonshire and Fenland Green Pathways scheme and a range of other short term projects in this and other regions. This post will require travel.

Conservation Education Officer Full-time 5x days per week (flexibility is essential and sessions will include after school hours and Saturdays). We will consider job share.
Location: Froglife’s Head Office in Peterborough (see JD)
Contract: 3 years
Salary: £22,500

Based in Peterborough the Conservation Education Officer will be expected to take a leading role in developing and delivering the Trust’s work with young people referred to Froglife by a range of partners who are working with vulnerable and hard to reach young people. The role includes promoting conservation activities and the provision of a training scheme utilising the Trust’s existing educational, training & habitat resources.

Although the Green Pathways Scheme has been delivered in this region for a number of years, we are now moving to a new way of delivery. The scheme will work with a much higher percentage of older young people and will deliver a high percentage of sessions out of school hours. Sessions will be run after school, during school holidays and on Saturdays.

This project has specific targets and we will expect the successful candidate to be target focused. When submitting CVs and covering letter it is essential that you highlight previous work experience and targets that have been met.

This project has a shortfall of funding and there is a requirement that the successful candidate will undertake fundraising activities as part of their duties.
