Essex Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity. It has more than 37,000 members, manages and protects over 8,400 acres of land on 87 nature reserves and 2 nature parks and runs 11 visitor centres. The aim of Essex Wildlife Trust is to Protect Wildlife for the Future and for the People of Essex. It is supported financially by members, local businesses and grant making organisations. It is one of the largest of the 47 county wildlife trusts that work together throughout the British Isles as The Wildlife Trusts.

These key roles within the Landscape Conservation management team are based at Abbotts Hall Farm (NE) or Chafford Gorges (SW) and the roles will oversee Landscape Conservation in the North East or South West area of Essex. This will take place through effective team management, leading on favourable status habitat and species management of the EWT area landholdings and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of the Trust’s County conservation and people engagement objectives. This role will include acting as Landscape Conservation advisor to Visitor Centres in these areas and driving the Landscape Conservation agenda forward as part of the Landscape Conservation management team.

If you have proven skills, knowledge and experience in Landscape Conservation, operate as a highly effective manager and show passion and professionalism for the natural world then this is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role within an innovative and expanding organisation at the forefront of wildlife conservation.
