Senior Urban Designer

£26,985 pro rata per annum

22.5 hours per week - based in Bristol or Reading – maternity cover

The exciting challenges of this role include delivering community-led street design projects, engaging schools and neighbourhoods in designing better places for walking and cycling and progress projects across England South, working in a vibrant and motivated team of engineers and urban designers, involved in urban realm improvements, temporary infrastructure, design of walking and cycling routes and delivering community engagement and events.

Educated to degree level or equivalent or with a relevant qualification in urban design, landscape architecture or related field, you will have experience of working on design projects with a significant level of community engagement. With excellent communication, report writing, networking and visual presentation skills, you will be IT literate with a strong administrative background. You will have the ability to maintain productive working relationships and knowledge of current guidance and best practice in street design. You will also be committed to the ideals of sustainable transport.
