The Wild about Rockpools Assistant is responsible for developing and delivering a programme of marine awareness activities focussing on inspiring people to engage with the marine environment through delivery of a seashore and rockpool focussed events programme, development of a programme of active volunteering opportunities to improve public knowledge regarding the marine environment and encouraging responsible practices while using beaches (such as shore surveys and beach cleans) as well as delivery of a marine wildlife focussed talks programme for the YHA.

This role will be responsible for daily upkeep and opening/closing of a small visitor facility on site. This will include ensuring this facility is well kept, management of a small retail operation and recruitment of members to the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.

Our ideal candidate will be forward thinking with a sound knowledge and enthusiasm for the marine environment. They will have a proven track record of working with people and leading events.
