Do you have a passion for wildlife and the natural world? Can you inspire young people (age 11-24) to take action for wildlife in their local area? If so, this could be the job for you... Our Bright Future is an ambitious and innovative partnership led by The Wildlife Trusts which brings together the youth and environmental sectors. This £33 million programme funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund is formed of 31 projects across the UK. Each project is helping young people aged 11-24 gain vital skills and experience and improve their wellbeing. At the same time, they act as catalysts for delivering change for their local environment and community; whilst contributing to a greener economy.

Fixed-term contract until December 2020 (22 hrs per week)

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with proven experience of development and delivering community based environmental projects to join the Our Bright Future team. You will work with young people in schools and communities, helping them to to explore their natural environments, develop their skills and take action for wildlife.

If you are passionate about wildlife, have excellent project management skills and have the ability to deliver inspiring outdoor programmes, then we want to hear from you! You need to be flexible, as out-of-hours work may be required, and have a clean driving licence.

Avon Wildlife Trust is a charity dedicated to working with local people for local wildlife, covering the West of England region (former county of Avon). It is supported by more than 17,500 members, manages over 30 nature reserves and is one of 46 Wildlife Trusts in the UK.

Closing date: 9am Monday 2nd July

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a first interview on Monday 9th July 2018. Applicants may be asked to attend a second interview on Wednesday 18th July 2018.
