We are looking for an engaging, enthusiastic individual to deliver practical gardening, nature engagement and wildlife conservation work on a broad range of sites as part of our Big Lottery Funded project – The Environment and Me (TEaM).

This project, which is a partnership with Coventry and Warwickshire Mind, builds on our growing experience of supporting people experiencing mental ill health to feel better using the outdoors. The TEaM project will support 300 adults over three years who are experiencing mental ill health to use the outdoors as a means of coping and managing their mental health and ultimately to support them to feel better. Tea works across a broad range of sites in Coventry from allotments to community gardens and woodlands.

The Project Officer will work alongside the The Environment and Me project team, which includes Mental Health workers, to offer engaging outdoor activities for clients from hedge laying and woodland work to river improvements and planting activities plus leading walks and delivering woodcraft activities. They will be skilled and experienced in leading practical conservation work, have experience of working with people experiencing mental ill health and have a true enthusiasm for working outdoors.
