You will be a key member of the Cornwall AONB Unit, charged with working in partnership with a broad host of organisations and stakeholders to drive forward an ambitious Project Plan that seeks to place people at the heart of our efforts to protect and enhance declining solitary mining bee colonies across the Cornwall AONB area and raising awareness of the threats to these nationally important species. You will deliver physical improvements and awareness raising events and activities alongside partner organisations and volunteers in some of Cornwall's most iconic landscapes including West Penwith, parts of the Lizard, as well as the St Agnes and North Cornwall coasts.

You will be a committed, passionate and enthusiastic individual with a proven ability of working collaboratively to deliver environmental work in partnership with local communities, with experience of working with organisations in the public, private and volunteer sector and with individuals ranging from schoolchildren to the elderly to raise awareness and commitments from the local community. You will need to have excellent communication skills in the broadest range of contexts; possess a high degree of empathy and diplomacy to deliver the work with local communities as well as a good working knowledge of project management techniques and practice gained in a similar community-based environmental or heritage context. You should also have a degree or equivalent in an environmental discipline.
