Project Officer, I Bike Volunteers (Ref: SUS2414)

£24,204 pro rata per annum

27 hours per week – 6 month contract - based in Edinburgh or Aberdeen

The exciting responsibilities of this role will be to increase capacity and legacy of the I Bike project, which aims to increase the number of young people travelling actively to school. It is important that our volunteers have a positive experience and are continually encouraged to improve the programme.

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent or relevant experience, you will have experience of recruiting, managing, training and supporting volunteers, experience of delivering behaviour change projects in an education/ community setting and of partnership working with local authorities, NGS and/or charities. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, be IT literate, able to plan and priorities workload and have the ability to enthuse and motivate others. Knowledge of effective behaviour change activities and initiatives is essential as is a commitment to the promotion of sustainable transport.
