The Enfield Civic Centre Restaurant is undergoing dramatic and exciting changes to provide more sustainable, healthy and delicious food to its customers.

We are in the process of radically changing the food on offer to the workers of the Civic Centre in Enfield by using locally grown and seasonal ingredients, eliminating unsustainable packaging and reducing food waste. 

We are driving change towards a healthier, tastier and more sustainable food offering that considers the environmental impact of the hospitality industry, offers physical and mental benefits to society and also contributes to a vibrant local economy.

Our mission has taken off with a bang and now we are looking for energetic and passionate individuals to join our front of house and kitchen teams and help drive the project forward.

Successful applicants will start off as casual staff but with the potential to become permanent members of staff. (This will be explained in better detail at interview stage)

Sustainable Food and Beverage Assistant (Part Time and Full Time Positions)

  • A strong passion for the environment and for sustainable solutions and an understanding of the obstacles to achieving these within the hospitality industry
  • A passion for food and good knowledge of the food industry and of modern trends in food
  • Experience in serving food to customers and demonstrating passion for the food you are serving
  • Experience in preparing and cooking food to a high standard (Essential if interested in a kitchen role)
  • Experience of making coffee on a barista coffee machine (Desirable but not essential)
  • Experience of working a till system (Desirable but not essential
  • Experience of training and / or motivating new staff or colleagues to improve the standard of service (Desirable but not essential)
  • An energetic person with a good work ethic and the ability to take initiative in order to provide the best service possible to the customer
  • Ability to think and work methodically and efficiently under pressure
  • Ability and / or desire to interact with the customer and express enthusiasm about changes to more sustainable hospitality and to answer questions about the ongoing changes to the food offering
  • Desire to be part of a unique and inspirational project
